Open Charity Day 2024 – Secure your ticket today

Annual Open Garden Charity Day
Saturday 29th June from 12:30pm onwards
15 New Place Gardens, Lingfield, RH7 6JD

Come along with family & friends and indulge in an afternoon of relaxation!

Enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch (menu below) and listen to the soothing swing melodies of The Roger Hind Jazz Trio.

Enjoy the beautiful garden and browse through a wonderful selection of Morag Hockin’s plants for sale to take home and add to your borders! This year we will also be show casing the amazing work of Claire & Julia who will be selling their beautiful ceramics and Frigg & Fauna’s amazing hand made seasonal jewellery (more details below).

If you don’t have time for a sit down lunch, we can offer you a delectable array of homemade treats for you to savour with a cup of tea or a glass of homemade lemonade.  There will be mouth-watering cakes, scones, sausage rolls and savoury homemade quiches for you to enjoy in the garden or take home for your supper.

As in previous years, there will be a raffle and we will be approaching local business for prizes. If you know of a local business who you think might contribute towards the raffle prizes, please do get in touch.

All proceeds made on the day will be split equally between The Alzheimer’s Society and MacMillan Cancer Support, and with your help, we hope to surpass the £1400 raised last year. We look forward to spending a wonderful day together and hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by these illnesses.

Tickets are strictly limited so secure your places and further information about the day by calling 07719 624429 or by emailing

CERAMICS BY CLAIRE & JULIA

Claire and Julia met at their first pottery class in Sept 2020. A few sessions in, classes were cancelled due to Covid, but a friendship had formed and both had developed a passion for clay.

A couple of years on, they continue to learn in weekly classes and enjoy experimenting with colour and form at their home studios. Now both retired from teaching careers, working with clay is their happy place!

Claire & Julia decided to take the plunge last Christmas and started selling what they make and it has been a very positive experience for them both.

The majority of their work is glazed table ware, made from oven, dishwasher and microwave safe stoneware. The ladies will be selling a large variety of items on their stall,  from porcelain seed markers to large sgraffito platters and fruit bowls.

PLANTS FROM RAPKYNS NURSERY

As you can imagine, its Morag’s busiest time of year so she’s unable to be here in person but we are delighted she will be supplying us with an abundance of healthy & reasonably priced plants to sell. For the third year running, Morag has kindly donated a percentage of all plants sold on our charity days to our two chosen charities.

FRIGG AND FAUNA
